Jonathan Gordon, O.D.
Dr. Gordon grew up in Plantation. He graduated from Nova High School in 1990 and then attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. He continued his studies at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry where he graduated in 2000. After working for 2 prominent ophthalmologists in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, Dr. Gordon worked in corporate optometry for 8 years building 2 successful practices. This combination of diverse environments covered the spectrum from LASIK and complex surgical cases to contact lens fittings for Keratoconus and routine eye exams. This allows him a unique perspective of the field and, with his passion for exceptional health care, he continually strives to make the experience for his patients as memorable as possible. Dr. Gordon currently lives in Cooper City. He has 2 children and when he is not working, he enjoys a very active lifestyle including wake surfing, scuba diving, snowboarding, and jiu jitsu. His daughter plays travel soccer and his son is working on his black belt in jiu jitsu.
Amber barrett, office manager
Amber began her optical career 15 years ago in central Florida, where she was born and raised on the space coast. She has been with Gordon Eye Care since she moved to south Florida 10 years ago. She graduated from the University of Central Florida and has a bachelors degree in health services administration. Many patients know her as Louis’ mom, her french bulldog who is always at the office. In her free time, Amber enjoys swimming, spending time at the beach, bicycling and cooking for family and friends.
Nicole Riley-Guerrero
The newest member of the Gordon Eye Care family is our licensed optician, Nicole. She was born and raised in sunny south Florida and has been in the optical industry for over a decade. Nicole graduated from Broward College with her Opticians degree and went on to earn her bachelors degree in Supervision and Management in 2014. She is ABO and NCLE certified. Her favorite part of being an optician is the enjoyment of helping patients see for the first time, especially the little ones. Speaking of little ones, Nicole has 2 boys that she adores and on occasion when she can break away she loves diy projects.
Louis
Born in Dade County, louis is the Gordon Eye Care mascot. He loves the Miami Hurricanes and his Mama. He can usually be found napping behind the front counter or in the break room attempting to convince someone to share their lunch.
